An Easy way to create a slip resistant, hard wearing, waxed floor
Homeowners like the idea of a waxed floor but aren't so keen on the maintenance and potential slip risk that can go with it.
Much quicker drying than Hardwax oils (even the fast drying ones!), Finney's Extra Tough Waxed Finish is touch dry in just 15-30 minutes and being water based does not give off any odour during application. Its also a very forgiving finish with brush / applicator marks usually disappearing as it dries.
And there's another bonus too. If you want to increase the toughness or the shine, simply apply one or two coats of Finney’s Extra Tough Floor Varnish as an undercoat first and you can tailor the protection and sheen level to your individual needs.
Sheen levels:
- 3 coats Finney's Extra Tough Waxed Finish = matt
- 1 coat Finney’s Extra Tough Floor Varnish and
2 coats Finney's Extra Tough Waxed Finish = matt / satin - 2 coats Finney’s Extra Tough Floor Varnish and
1 coat Finney's Extra Tough Waxed Finish = satin
